Clinton anxious, but hopeful over Haiti recovery
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton expressed frustration Saturday over the slow pace of Haiti’s earthquake recovery, but said the country will escape its difficulties if it can become self-sufficient.

My J.R.O.T.C program at my high school has put me in charge of a special project to sending stuff to haiti victims. So far no one is accepting items just money but, i think we need to send more than that to those poor people. I have no clue where in my area they are accepting these things we collect. I live in Central Texas (Temple) and need a good place local to send the stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’d like to go volunteer in Haiti, but cannot find any information on the subject. The red cross is not accepting volunteers. Also, I can’t go right now, but spring break is around the corner, and I’m sure they will still need help then.

Yeah, yeah we all have hearts but what does America truly have to gain from helping Haiti as far as our political well being?

With all the problems Haiti is experiencing and with all the news coverage, the were some mention of the previous Duvalier regime and all the money stolen by Baby Doc Duvalier. It was mentioned that he fled the country and moved to France. Several decades earlier, Ramfis Trujillo, tried to rule the Dominican Republic after his father was killed, but he fled to France.
